Chalets
No. Each chalet has a strict maximum capacity. Large chalets accommodate up to 6 guests, and small chalets accommodate up to 2 guests. No additional guests are allowed beyond these limits.
Three of our eight chalets are dog-friendly: Ranger's Roost, The Hideaway, and Bold Peak. A pet fee applies for up to two dogs per chalet.
Cats and other pets are not allowed.
Yes! Our property has strong Wi-Fi coverage, but cellular service is unreliable in the Eklutna Valley.
Before heading up the mountain, be sure to screenshot all self check-in info (door codes, Wi-Fi passwords), download your maps, and enable Wi-Fi calling.
Location & Directions
BWBC is approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes from Ted Stevens International Airport in Anchorage.
Traveling north from Anchorage: take the Thunderbird Falls exit toward the mountains.
Traveling south toward Anchorage: take the Eklutna exit and cross the highway toward the mountains.
Then turn onto Eklutna Lake Rd and travel approximately 7.5 miles. BlueWater BaseCamp is the first right after the mile 7 marker, with a street sign for Basecamp Ct.
Reservations & Policies
Winter Season (Sept 16 – April 30)
- 30+ days before arrival: full refund
- 29–8 days before arrival: 50% refund
- 7 days or less: no refund
Summer Season (May 1 – Sept 15)
- 60+ days before arrival: full refund
- 59–31 days before arrival: 50% refund
- 30 days or less: no refund
Booking directly with us is preferred. Exclusive specials are only available when you book direct.

It all depends on your setup: indoor, outdoor (or both!), cocktail tables, or a full seated dinner. The Gathering House can host up to 100 guests for your event.
