Things To Do In the Eklutna Valley

The Eklutna Valley is home to amazing hiking trails and a multi-use lakeside trail for both motorized and non-motorized users. Mountain bikes and kayak rentals are available through our website or at the lake with Lifetime Adventures. ATV tours are available as well during the summer.

The Lakeside Trail is perfect for a leisurely stroll for people of all skills. Extend your range with a mountain bike rental and explore all the way to the end of the lake. Staying along the coast of the lake with minor changes in elevation, the Lakeside trail parallels the lake on the north side. The south side of the lake has no trail access.

If motorized travel is your thing, give us a call and we can help you book an ATV rental on the motorized days, Sunday – Wednesday.

Eklutna Lake is the watershed for Anchorage drinking water. Due to this, no motors are allowed on the lake and very few fish are present for fishing. You won’t find pontoon boats, jet skiis nor water skiing. Kayaks, canoes and paddle boards are the only water craft you will find on Eklutna Lake. Kayaks are available for rent through Lifetime Adventures at the lake or through BlueWater BaseCamp when you book your reservation.

If you want to venture out of Eklutna and see more sights, here are several options for day trips, nearby hikes and events you don’t want to miss while you are here in the Anchorage, Alaska area.
