| Yes, 3 of our 8 chalets are dog friendly. Ranger’s Roost, The Hideaway and Bold Peak Chalets are all dog friendly. We do charge an extra fee for up to 2 dogs per chalet. It is important we know you are bringing a dog as we set each cabin with dog friendly items for your convenience: Dog bed, couch cover, darker linens, doggie poop bags, and dog treats in your welcome basket. |
BWBC has a strong Wi-Fi cloud over the whole property. The cloud works best within each chalet and is spotty if you are out walking the property. There is NO cellular service in the Eklutna Valley! It is highly recommended that guests download maps and instructions you need before arriving to ensure a smooth check-in experience. You will also need to set your phone up for wi-fi calling. Each carrier has different instructions, so please do this before heading up into the Eklutna Valley.
Location
BWBC’s location is about 1hr 5min from the Ted Stevens Int’l airport. Travel north out of Anchorage on the Glenn Hwy (Hwy 1). Take the Thunderbird Falls exit towards the mountains. Turn right on Eklutna Lake Rd. BlueWater BaseCamp is the first right after the Mile 7 marker. There is a street sign for Basecamp Ct and a large sign for BlueWater BaseCamp on the right. The physical address is 36474 Basecamp Ct, Chugiak. However, not all mapping apps show the location because it is new.
Directions to BWBC start from the Glenn Hwy (Hwy 1). Located on the north edge of Anchorage, BlueWater BaseCamp can be reached from the Eklutna or Thunderbird Falls exits off the Glenn Hwy (Hwy 1). When traveling north out of Anchorage on the Glenn Hwy (Hwy 1), take the Thunderbird Falls exit towards the mountains. If you are traveling south towards Anchorage, use the Eklutna Exit and turn across the highway towards the mountains. Both exits will put you on the Old Glenn Hwy. Next turn onto Eklutna Lake Rd and travel approx 7.5 miles to Basecamp Ct. BlueWater BaseCamp is the first right after the Mile 7 marker. There is a street sign for Basecamp Ct and a large sign for BlueWater BaseCamp on the right. The physical address is 36474 Basecamp Ct, Chugiak which can be confusing when looking for directions because not all mapping apps show our location as it is new in 2024.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Summer Season (May 1 – Sept 15) 60 days prior to arrival date: FULL REFUND. 59-31 days prior to arrival date: 50% refund of the total. 30 days or less: No refund.
Winter Season (Sept 16 – April 30). 30 days prior to arrival date: FULL REFUND. 29-8 days prior to arrival date: 50% refund of the total. 7 days or less: No refund.
We are listed on AirBnB, VRBO, Expedia, Glamping Hub and many other online travel agencies. While we make every attempt to align our cancellation policy across sites, the individual booking agency determines the cancellation policy per their site rules.
Our direct booking system sends you our policies to read and sign as part of the reservation process via email. After your reservation we have several follow up emails including the final check-in codes and wifi access sent the day before arrival.
