The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race is a 1,000-mile event in Alaska every March, starting in Anchorage and ending in Nome. It’s known as “The Last Great Race on Earth” and is a unifying event for Alaskans, covering challenging terrain in very cold weather conditions.
