Twin Peaks trailhead is a brief 5 min drive from BWBC. On this 2.5-mile family-friendly trek, you can reach a picturesque vantage point and bench perched above the lake. A perfect site to take in the beauty of Eklutna Lake and surrounding valley. The trail’s upper end serves several other treks and climbs worth exploring for more experienced hikers. You can choose between a quick, simple stroll to an overview of Eklutna Lake or a strenuous scramble up a 5,000-foot peak. However, it might be enough to have a seat and relax on the bench while admiring the view of Twin Peaks Valley and the tall, rocky Twin Peaks. The trail starts from the day use parking lot at Eklutna Lake Campground.  As with all hiking in Alaska, we highly recommend you take bear spray and make lots of noise as you hike no matter where you go.
